MY DREAM CARIBBEAN VACATION HOME

What a DREAMY CARIBBEAN VACATION HOME! What is a dream if you can’t share it with someone?

Nestled in a former coconut plantation, directly on Pinney’s Beach in Nevis lies my Nevis Dream Home!

It is a Dream for me! I dream about the day I would be able to buy my own Nevis Villa just like Villa Paradiso.

It is called Villa Paradiso

My dream home Features a gorgeous Shower, Incredible Ocean View, Golf Nearby, A Washing Machine and Relaxing Jacuzzi.

Villa Paradiso is an exciting blend of Balinese and Caribbean architecture created by world famous designer Adam D. Tihany. Each Villa has a private pool, surrounded by coral stone and beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea. The outdoor thatched roof-dinning pavilion is dramatically set overlooking the pool, the ocean and Pinney’s Beach.

Pinneys is a fine beach, the longest beach on Nevis. It is on the Caribbean side of the island, where the sea is usually quite calm.

This beach is almost 3 miles long, reaching from just outside of Charlestown all the way to the north end of Cades Bay. You can walk the whole length of the beach, including going past the lagoon at Nelson’s Spring. And if you do walk the whole beach, you will only have to go off the sand a little way at two points, once because of a small rocky point, and the other time because of the rocks which were put down by the Four Seasons in 2005 to protect the north end of their property against erosion.

The sand on Pinney’s Beach is a pleasant pale yellow-grey color. Parts of the beach are still relatively wild, and you will see usually see pelicans fishing as well as shy Night Herons resting. Sometimes there are shells washed up here and there on Pinney’s, depending on what the sea has been doing recently. You will also see brightly-painted, hand-made fishing boats, pulled up on the beach just north of the Nevis Four Seasons Resort.

Traveling With The Kids

In need of a good, bonding Caribbean family vacation!? We could all use one here and there.

From what I see day to day, I think we should all cherish the time we have with our loved ones much more.

So why leave the kids at home? They too could benefit from a fun-filled yet relaxing Nevis Vacation as you all immerse yourselves in Rich Caribbean Culture.

And who doesn’t love going to the beach!? That was a rhetorical Question BTW :)

Special for Families - Adopt a Sea Turtle:

Nevis is a nesting ground for endangered hawksbill, leatherback and green sea turtles. Four Seasons Resort Nevis has partnered with the Carib’n Conservation Corporation to “adopt a sea turtle” for each family checking in with kids 16 and under. Kids get a certificate, conservation guide, logo magnet, & more. The “adopted” turtles have been named and satellite tagged with transmitters for research. Back home, kids can track the migratory patterns of their turtle online via www.cccturtle.org.

For a fun interactive and educational online activity… see Turtle Tides HERE!
It is a section devoted to kids! Here you will find links to games, turtle heroes, activities, artwork, information to download and past Turtle Tides newsletters. We will continue to add content from kids, parents and educators.

Nevis Dodging Harsh Hurricanes This Season

Nevis, West Indies has been lucky this year, in that it has not been hit by any severe hurricanes.

Yes Nevis Island gets its share of exciting tropical stormy weather, but all the hurricane action is elsewhere this season!

The latest threatning hurricane is headed for the Gulf Of Mexico, and YES, it is headed for New Orleans… Again. Hurricane Gustave is intensifying, but the proper precautions are taking place!

map_huralrt07_ltst_5nhato_enus_600×405.jpg carib_websattropir_440_mdy_y.jpg

Gustav became a very dangerous Category 4 hurricane on Saturday afternoon. After crossing the western tip of Cuba, Gustav has weakened slightly, now with maximum sustained winds near 140 mph. Gustav is expected to reintensify overnight and on Sunday as it moves through the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Weather.com gives the best, latest updates on weather all over the globe!

Western Cuba has experienced destructively high winds, excessive rainfall, flash flooding, and high surge/waves. Rainfall amounts are locally approaching a foot and some areas could see more than 20 inches by Sunday. Squally weather reaches as far east as central Cuba.

Along the northern Gulf Coast, a hurricane watch is in effect from east of High Island, Texas, to the Alabama/Florida border, including Lake Pontchartrain and the City of New Orleans. A hurricane watch means that hurricane conditions are possible within 36 hours. A tropical storm watch is in effect along the Florida Panhandle Coast from the Alabama/Florida border east to the Ochlockonee River. A “watch” means that conditions are possible within 36 hours, a portions of this area will likely be upgraded to warnings on Sunday.

So what’s the latest as far as Nevis Weather goes!? Well, it’s bit wet, but not too hot. I wish I was there now! I’d go play in the rain!!! :)

Feel free to check out the Nevis Forcast HERE just incase you are planning a Lovely and Exciting Nevis Vacation in the near future. It’s always a good idea to plan ahead.
