NEVIS ISLAND is known as a beautiful, cute and quaint, little island that is coupled by its twin sister, Saint Kitts. Together, the make up a one of the many gorgoeus islands everyone should visit while on a Caribbean Vacation.

Let’s explore the benefits of horseback riding, as there are many. First of all, it is healthy in more ways than one. Horseback riding can be very theraputic. The rider can feel in control while connecting with their horse. They can feel a sense of pride while accomplishing the task of being in charge of their new equine friend. It also has physical benefits. A horse’s gait, similar to our walk, helps strengthen spine, pelvic muscles, improves posture, coordination, and increases joint mobility.

ALL of these wonderful bebefits combined with riding a horse along the Nevis Beaches can provide the best time of one’s life. You get to take in the gorgeous scenery of the island, soak up some sun and feel at one with nature all over again. Just don’t forget your camera to capture such a special moment in time. The Nevis peak you will want to capture on film.

>>>The NEVIS EQUESTRIAN CENTRE will provide you the luxury of such an ADVENTURE!<<<

They should be very proud of their services. Here’s a little insight to what you can experience…

Our most popular ride, beach and trail, begins with a walk past Ft. Ashby, the first fort on the island built in 1650, leading us to one of the many secluded beaches on Nevis. Along the way, we pass Nelson’s Spring, a beautiful lagoon where clipper ships once filled up with fresh drinking water.

We continue through Calhoun Estate where we see Brahma cattle and in the distance, St. Thomas’ Anglican Church, the oldest active Anglican Church in the Caribbean (1643 ). We turn east and slowly climb the mountain slope to Paradise Estate where we see ruins of a sugar mill and then ride through ‘ Cotton Ground’ which derives its name from the production of cotton in years past. The people of this village are warm and friendly and you don’t want to forget the name of your horse because the young children, who know the horses, will question you as to which one you are riding.

We return to the beach where we stop to take pictures and observe the local fishermen bring in their catch of the day, ending our ride with a cool walk through a coconut grove. Upon returning to the stable, we enjoy a refreshing tropical drink, sit and watch the horses take a cooling bath.

What do their services include? Well, the following rides are always available:
