Earth Day Celebrated In Nevis
Nevis, like many other great lands, celebrated Earth Day yesterday, but the island hopes to see this EVERYDAY!
The well know Minister of Health, Hon. Hensley Danielon, told Nevis youths to make saving the earth a year round priority. He said it should be a 365-day activity and not just something that is remembered one day of the year, on Earth Day.
With the world’s nations going green more and more, Earth Day really is being celebrated by many people, as they are trying to conserve the earth as best they can.
The minister told the students at Jocelyn Liburd and Charlestown Primary Schools, to maintain the earth daily to ensure that 30 years from now, Nevis’ development will reflect their thinking and their efforts.
He said that the efforts rest souly on the Nevis dwellers, especially the youth, as well as the Nevis Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA). Wit ha joint effort, they can maintain the NATURAL BEAUTY NEVIS ISLAND PROUDLY PROVIDES.
