By bike, car, taxi, jeep, scooter or bus, there many means of getting around Nevis Island.

Afterall, there is so much natural beauty to soak in while you journey the “Queen of the Caribees“.

As you land in Your Dream Destination, TAXIS are always waiting for you upon stepping off your Flight to Nevis.

In order to rent a car or a scooter on a Nevis Vacation it is mandatory to obtain a driver’s license from any of the island police departments. These police departments can be found in Charlestown, Newcastle, Cotton Ground or Gingerland. You must provide your valid driver’s license from home (where ever that may be) in order to obtain a three-month license which runs $24.00 US. Takin’ Da Bus:

Catch a ride on “No Problem” or “Zion Train” into town and wander around the market or a museum. Yes, each of the buses have names! It’s a fun and catchy idea I think.
So, how does a Nevis Traveler cruise about one of these buses? These privately owned, public mini-busses drive around the main road on Nevis Island all day and into the night. Just flag one down on the side of the road in the direction that you are going. The driver will stop and pick you up. Depending on the length of your trip, bus fares can run between $1. and $5. EC.

OH… and a couple of HUGE POINTERS I constantly have to remind myself of

1 - DRIVE ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE ROAD

2 - DON’T PARK WHERE YELLOW LINES ARE PAINTED
