These police departments can be found in Charlestown, Newcastle, Cotton Ground or Gingerland. Takin’ Da Bus:
Catch a ride on “No Problem” or “Zion Train” into town and wander around the market or a museum. Yes, each of the buses have names! It’s a fun and catchy idea I think.
So, how does a Nevis Traveler cruise about one of these buses? These privately owned, public mini-busses drive around the main road on Nevis Island all day and into the night. Just flag one down on the side of the road in the direction that you are going. The driver will stop and pick you up. Depending on the length of your trip, bus fares can run between $1. and $5. EC.
OH… and a couple of HUGE POINTERS I constantly have to remind myself of…
1 - DRIVE ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE ROAD
2 - DON’T PARK WHERE YELLOW LINES ARE PAINTED
